Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor

Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor is nestled a top the Kumaon hills (Uttarakhand), the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, 25 kilometres from Almora. It was in 1856 when the then British Commissioner of Kumaon, General Sir Henry Ramsay, cousin to Lord Dalhousie, the Viceroy of India, acquired this piece of land and built his private home.

Nestled deep within the serene Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor is a heritage boutique property offering an enchanting blend of colonial charm, natural beauty, and soulful tranquility. Built in the 19th century as the former home of Sir Henry Ramsay, the Manor retains its timeless architecture while providing all modern comforts, making it a perfect escape for nature lovers, bird watchers, writers, and anyone seeking peace in the lap of the Himalayas.

Surrounded by ancient oak forests, whispering pines, and mystical mountain landscapes, the property offers breathtaking views, rich biodiversity, and unmatched silence. Whether you're enjoying a warm cup of tea on the verandah, waking up to the melodies of rare Himalayan birds, or stargazing under the clear night sky, every moment here reconnects you with nature.

Perfect For
